Za usporedbu, Webbov prethodnik, svemirski teleskop Hubble, kru\u017eio je oko Zemlje na udaljenosti od 550 kilometara, izlaze\u0107i i ulaze\u0107i u sjenu planeta svakih 90 minuta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zajedni\u010dka gravitacija Zemlje i Sunca odr\u017eavat \u0107e teleskop Webb u stabilnom polo\u017eaju, pa \u0107e biti potrebno samo minimalno kori\u0161tenje njegovog raketnog pogona kako bi odr\u017eavao putanju, rekao je NASA-in znanstvenik Eric Smith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rije\u010d je o revolucionarnom, devet milijarda dolara vrijednom infracrvenom teleskopu, koji je NASA predstavila kao vode\u0107i opservatorij za svemirsku znanost sljede\u0107eg desetlje\u0107a. Teleskop je sto puta osjetljiviji od svemirskog teleskopa Hubblea i o\u010dekuje se da \u0107e duboko promijeniti razumijevanje svemira i mjesta \u010dovjeka u njemu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Webb \u0107e uglavnom promatrati svemir u infracrvenom spektru, \u0161to \u0107e mu omogu\u0107iti da prodre kroz oblake plina i pra\u0161ine gdje se ra\u0111aju zvijezde, dok je Hubble djelovao prvenstveno na opti\u010dkim i ultraljubi\u010dastim valnim duljinama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rad u infracrvenom podru\u010dju zna\u010di i da \u0107e Webb bilje\u017eiti svjetlost koja je u ovaj spektar dospjela kroz milijarde godina crvenog pomaka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tako \u0107e on mo\u0107i snimiti svemirske objekte koje do sada nismo imali prilike vidjeti prve zvijezde i galaksije koje su nastale u vrlo ranom dobu svemira, kada je on bio star tek oko 100 milijuna godina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ti objekti tada su emitirali prete\u017eno ultraljubi\u010dasto zra\u010denje, a ono je kroz vi\u0161e od 13 milijardi godina, zbog \u0161irenja svemira, pro\u0161lo kroz cijeli vidljivi spektar i sada se mo\u017ee detektirati tek kao vrlo slabo infracrveno zra\u010denje. Snimanje prvih velikih struktura u svemiru trebalo bi otkriti mnoge do sada nepoznate \u010dinjenice o nastanku prvih zvijezda i galaksija.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Glavno zrcalo teleskopa, koje se sastoji od 18 heksagonalnih segmenata od berilija opto\u010denog zlatom, ima puno ve\u0107e podru\u010dje za prikupljanje svjetla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Osim istra\u017eivanja formiranja najranijih zvijezda i galaksija, astronomi \u0107e mo\u0107i prou\u010davati i super masivne crne rupe za koje se vjeruje da zauzimaju sredi\u0161ta dalekih galaksija.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instrumenti na Jamesu Webbu omogu\u0107it \u0107e potragu za dokazima o atmosferi koja podr\u017eava \u017eivot na egzoplanetima, posebice postojanje ugljikovog dioksida i metana, ali i na puno bli\u017eim svemirskim tijelima poput Marsa ili Saturnovog ledenog mjeseca Titana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Webb teleskop nije namijenjen za traganje za kemijskim &#8220;biomarkerima&#8221;, koji bi i\u0161li korak dalje u potvr\u0111ivanju izvanzemaljskog \u017eivota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sljede\u0107ih tjedana predstoji fino uga\u0111anje instrumenata svemirskog teleskopa, a o\u010dekuje se da bi nakon nekoliko mjeseci trebao biti u potpunosti operativan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Izvor:pogled.ba<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NASA-in svemirski teleskop James Webb, koji bi trebao omogu\u0107iti nove uvide u najranije faze svemira, stigao je u ponedjeljak na svoje odredi\u0161te u orbiti oko Sunca, otprilike milijun i pol kilometara od Zemlje.
